Connect where your content lives.
A WordPress application password gives Conquer the access needed to read and apply your approved content changes.
Readiness checks
Your site needs valid HTTPS, WordPress application passwords enabled, and a reachable /wp-json/ endpoint. The settings panel reports each check separately.
Install the companion plugin
Upload the wp-plugin directory as conquer-seo under wp-content/plugins and activate it. The plugin checks readiness, links back with your URL prefilled, and exposes a permission-checked SEO description field. It stores no credentials and sends no telemetry.
Manual connection
Create an application password in WordPress → Users → Profile. Use a dedicated user with the permissions needed to edit the relevant posts and pages. In Conquer Settings, enter the URL, username, and application password. Credentials are encrypted with project-bound context.
Metadata compatibility
The connector reads and writes Yoast or Rank Math descriptions when present, otherwise its own description field. Keep the plugin active so approved descriptions and rollback can use the same field.
Disconnect and rollback
Disconnect attempts to revoke the application password and removes the encrypted credentials. If the WordPress version does not expose password introspection, revoke it in WordPress yourself. Removing the plugin alone does not revoke application passwords.
